Screening in Clinical Trial Study :

Screening is a Full medical Check Up before you go for any Study/Clinical Research Period, by Screening in Study/Clinical Research doctors confirm that you are health wise eligible or not  for the upcoming or next study.

INFORMED CONSENT DOCUMENT FOR SCREENING :

Purpose of screening is to see if you can be included in a research study relating to Bioavailability and or Bioequivalence studies.

Screening is done to ensure that the persons who enter into the study are healthy candidates eligible for participating in the study.

Your photograph and finger print will be taken and checked against a common volunteer database (OVIS) that is being maintained across various research organizations in India to check Cross participation in different clinical studies.

The purpose of this document is to clearly state the procedures involved in screening and to ensure that you enter screening only after knowing all relevant facts about it. This document describes the purpose of screening, possible benefits, risks or discomfort and confidentiality. 

It also contains the declaration of your voluntary participation in screening.The informed consent for screening is not a contract and you can withdraw from screening at any time, at your own will, without having to give any reasons for doing so.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN SCREENING?

The screening procedure will be done step-wise and it includes
demographic details like race, height, weight, body mass index, gender, age, diet, smoking history, alcohol intake history, tobacco/abusive drug/recreational drug intake history, history of blood donation, history of last study participation, etc.

Normally Screening  includes mostly these check ups-
1. Online Check  (Online check is done for volunteer's cross participation in clinical study, mostly by OVIS, in India)

2.  Body Mass Index(BMI) (Needs to be between 18.5 to 24.99 or 30.00 Normally)

3.  Vitals ( Blood Pressure,Body Temperature and Pulse Rate/Respiratory Rate)

4.  Medical Check up (other check ups required for study like Nicotine/ Medical History / Body or skin disease)

5. ECG (An electrocardiogram)

6.  Sample ( Blood and Urine Sample)

7.  X Ray


After all these test you can earn Rs.100 to 300 Money/compensation whether you pass or fail in screening.
